Of course the 'talk' was stilted, it was meant to be. The characters were comic book stuff, they too were meant to be. If you watched the movie with that in mind, it was enjoyable. It wasn't 'Art', and wasn't meant to be. Pare, well, let's say 'the Cruisers' was his high point, DeFoe did his 'Raven' -bit well. Lane's final 'song' stage scene was great.
